The walls on the third deck were covered with an interesting bas-relief honoring American culture.

A close look revealed an American cultural icon.

We had a balcony, but the view never changed.

A trip highlight was the Halloween Ball.  Pat went as a spider.

Lew went as a penguin.

Packy and Nancy Maxwell went as elegant thieves.

The wait staff in the ship's bar was well-costumed.

The ship's library is elegant and well-stocked.

We attended a series of lectures presented by Oxford University.  Here, Peter Kemp, literary and drama editor of the Sunday Times, discussing murder mysteries.

These propeller-like objects were bolted to the deck.  Not sure if this is art work or something functional.
